Human Caregivers的网络常见释义
人类照顾者 An Oxford professor and other British academics are urging animal lovers stop calling their furry or feathered friends “pets” because the term is insulting, the Daily Telegraph of London reported. Domestic animals should be rebranded as “companion animals”, while owners should be known as “human caregivers”. Phrases such as “sly as a fox”, “eat like a pig” and “drunk as a skunk” are all unfair to animals, the academics suggest. The call comes from the Journal of Animal Ethics, edited by Andrew Linzey, director of the Oxford Center for Animal Ethics.
