Automatic Screen Printing Machine: Usage Explained

Automatic screen printing machines, also known as flat-bed screen printing machines, are widely used in the production of printed products for a wide variety of sectors. This printing technology allows for efficient production of high quality prints.

The machine consists of a flat-bed which moves along a track, and a screen printing head or multiple heads which move along the bed. The head holds the screen tensioned and level above the flatbed. This ensures that the screen is held evenly over the surface of the material that is being printed.

The machine operator controls the printing process through a controller. The controller can be programmed to move the screen printing head in a set pattern, or the operator can manually move it. The operator can also set the parameters of the printing process such as speed, pressure, and color.

The operator guns down the appropriate inks according to the design that is to be printed on the material and then sends the head over the material. As the head moves, the ink is pushed onto the material through the screen. The ink that is pushed through the screen is prevented from going beyond it by a squeegee blade on the underside of the screen.

Once the desired part of the material has been printed, the printer operator moves the head to the next area. This process is repeated until the entire design is printed onto the material.
