dial marker的用法详解
Dial markers are the small, round markers that appear on the face of an analogue clock. Unlike the other numbers on an analogue clock, the dial markers are not used to indicate the time of day. Instead, these markers are used to help identify which way the clock’s hands should be moved when you set the time.
For example, if you want to set a clock for a quarter after ten, you can use the dial markers to help you. First, locate the ten on the clock face and identify the tenth dial marker just to the right of it. Now look at the minute hand and move it to the 15th dial marker. Finally, move the hour hand to the 10.
In addition to helping set the time on a clock, dial markers can also be used to calculate the angle between two of the clock’s hands. Simply use the dial markers to count the number of markers that separate two hands. As an example, if the hour hand is pointing to the tenth dial marker and the minute hand is pointing to the fifth, then the angle between the two hands is fifty degrees.
Dial markers are a great tool for helping set the time on a clock, and for measuring the angle between two of the clock’s hands. Now that you know how to use dial markers, you’ll never have to worry about the time being wrong again!
